Signature Dance Company (SDC) is a performance dance company for women and girls ages 3 years old through adults in Milwaukee, WI. Our mission is sharing, without compromise, all our God gifts and talents while helping others realize their own.
Through combining the technique and ministry of dance, we create environments that change the lives and hearts of audience members and dancers. Our hope is that as each dancer grows technically, that they would also grow personally, emotionally and spiritually through mentorship and accountability.
Every girl should be a Signature Girl!

Co-Founder & Board Chair
Desiree Cocroft
Tecia Sellers is a wife, mom, entrepreneur and woman of faith. Although she never imagined that God would afford her the opportunity to lead such a dynamic group of young women, with her parents' help she began both her walk with the Lord and artistic training at a young age. Some of the companies and organizations Tecia has trained and/or participated in are Ko-Thi, Unity in The Community, Outreach Temple For Jesus, Evangel Cathedral, Howard University Alpha Omega Steppers For Christ, Christian Faith Fellowship Church and World Outreach and Bible Training.
In addition to honing in on her artistic and ministerial abilities, Tecia has also been diligent in her leadership training and educational pursuits. Professionally, she has worked in leadership capacities in various community organizations and she has earned her Bachelor's of Science in Human Services Management. Tecia is humbled at the fact that God chose her, along with the other two co-founders, to start Signature Dance Company. Part of the mission of Signature is to help others realize their own God-given gifts and talents. It brings Tecia great joy and a sense of fulfillment to see anyone connected to Signature realize and develop the call of God on their lives.
Tecia's order in life is God first, the family (husband Dale and daughter Casey), and then Signature

Only after graduating from Hampton University with her BA and MBA did Desiree begin to take more formal dance training at Danceworks in Milwaukee, WI and through classes at Signature Dance Company. In 2008, Desiree decided to go back to school for dance full-time. She completed her Bachelors of Arts in Dance at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2010. In her role as a company director with Signature, Desiree handles the company’s financial matters, teaches classes and workshops, and choreographs pieces for company shows. Desiree's favorite part of her work with Signature is mentoring the company members, and watching them grow personally as well as technically. She is inspired by the passion behind the movement in each piece she teaches endeavoring to connect with audience members.
